What equipment do I need to start?
Any Face-ID iPhone or iPad. There is no scanner or capital equipment to buy. An iPad is nice for showing the patient on a larger screen.

Getting started
Do I have to change my whole workflow or scanner?
No. The platform is open. You can keep tools you already use, and we can ingest orders from common systems. Your admin staff also get a desktop login to track every order.
If you cast with foam or plaster today, the change is the capture step only: the foot is held in the same neutral, non-weight-bearing position, and the phone replaces the box.
How do I try it without committing?
Book a 15-minute demo, or let us scan you or a staff member and make you a pair so you can feel the process end to end. We can also set up a no-risk test environment where you run a few sample orders yourself.
The device
Is it really custom, or semi-custom?
The Functional orthotic is fully custom and prescriptive, designed from your patient’s actual scan with over 20 parameters under your control. The Accommodative is a semi-custom device matched to the scan. We are clear about which is which.
How do I know a 3D-printed device holds up?
It is the same prescriptive device, printed in biocompatibility-certified material as a Class 1 medical device. Material certifications are available on request.
And unlike a hand-formed device, it is identical when you reorder a year later. Consistency is where printing beats the bench, not just speed.
Will it fit my patient’s footwear?
That is the point. The devices come back thinner and lighter than traditional, which is the most common thing clinicians tell us they need. And with virtual fit you see the device on the patient’s foot before you approve it.
What is virtual fit?
A view of the designed orthotic on your patient’s own 3D scan, before you approve the order. It gives you visual confidence the device fits, rather than committing and hoping. It is unique to Connect O&P.
Orders and practice
How long does an order take?
Orders ship in about four business days, reliably, without the seasonal backlog of a traditional lab. Book the fitting follow-up when you place the order.
What does it cost, and how do I price to my patient?
Talk to us about current pricing for your volume. You continue to resell to your patients as you do today and keep your margin. There is no software subscription and no equipment to buy.
What about insurance documentation?
We provide proof of manufacturing with every order to support insurance claims, alongside the device’s Class 1 status and material certifications.
Is my patient data secure?
The platform is built for HIPAA compliance on enterprise-grade infrastructure with role-based access. Patient data stays inside the platform.
I already have a lab I like. Why switch?
If your lab’s turnaround, price, and quality all make you happy, that is a good lab. The two things it almost certainly cannot give you: a device that is identical on every reorder, and the designed device shown on your patient’s foot before you approve it.
